Engagement at a Glance
The client originally approached Pactera in April of 2006 to leverage our telecommunications industry expertise for a “Retail Content Management Level N Support Platform” project. Pactera delivered this IT outsourcing project “on-shore,” at the client’s headquarters in three phases; beginning with detailed analysis, followed by development and testing, and concluding with ongoing technical support and customization. Pactera leveraged our Oracle Siebel enterprise application integration (EAI) background to improve the client’s sales, enable faster data-centric decision making, and identify and mitigate system transition risks.
Oracle Siebel Retail Channel Management Platform for High-Tech Fortune 100 Firm
The client required a prompt and comprehensive platform to manage retail sales with different levels of access for different levels of management. Put another way, the client required not just a data aggregator system, but also a way of sorting the data and controlling access as per the client’s management policies. Furthermore, the client required a system to also incorporate Salesforce accounts as well as “partner profile management” and “promotion management.”Fortunately, Pactera was able to identify, customize, and implement a packaged solution to the client’s retail channel management challenge.
Pactera engineers provided 24x7 technical support to the client at the client’s global headquarters from the very beginning of the demand analysis process, through system design and structuring, and finally actively consulted on testing and support.
As an “Oracle Gold Partner,” Pactera was able to offer the client superior delivery service of Oracle Siebel packaged products. Specific Seibel technologies used in providing the Oracle consulting solution were: Siebel Analytics and Informatica.
Pactera team used data warehouse concepts and Oracle stored procedures to create an ETL design using Siebel EIM. The business intelligence aspects of the RCM system were based on Siebel analytics on an OLAP platform. Final implementation of the system was accomplished with WebMethod and SIS/GIS systems using Siebel Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) processes.
